We have purchased two birds from this wonderful breeder. We were so happy with our first bird, a caique, that we went back again and purchased a green cheek. Christine was so good she let me know about my black headed caique every week. I always knew what was going on. I couldn't ask for more. Yumi (parrotlet) has became great part of our family. Our son loves her so much. He feeds her every morning and we all play together. Yumi gets very upset when we go to a different room LOL and loves spending time playing, cuddling :)

Thank you so much for talking to me and my Mom today. Your insight and expert advice clarified the major difference between out of cage "active" time, and out of cage "cuddling" time.
After I spoke to you, I went upstairs and decided to clean Baby Girl's cage and freshen her food and water. She was more than happy to supervise my housekeeping skills. She spent quite a bit of time in her new basket then came out to look around, and even hopped off the basket onto the footstool.
After going back home, she ate, drank and played with her toys. She was happy, chirpy and craving attention.
Cuddle time was amazing. At about 8:15 pm, and starting with me, I put her on my shoulder, settling in to watch television. She was active - checking out my ears, and spending a great deal of time at the nape of my neck. I have very short hair and she was preening me to her heart's content. She totally relaxed and (I think) was falling asleep. I was able to tilt my head back and rub her with my hair. She let me go both with the grain of her feathers, and against it - full body!
Next, it was Mom's turn. I picked her up, and she was so relaxed she let me hold her in the palm of my hand and kiss her tummy! I placed her on My Mom's chest and she went straight to her hair, near the nape of her neck. She fell asleep, and my Mom stroked her from the top of her beak, across her crown, shoulders, back and to the very tip of her tail. She was like butter.
Finally, we put her to bed, and she sure was ready! What a wonderful evening!
And now, time for personal compliments! Christine, you are one of the rare people that embrace the world and truly appreciate the gifts we have been given. The aviary, your own birds, dogs, horses and a husband (!). My every expectation so surpassed, that such expectations become irrelevant.
Baby Girl is absolutely beautiful. We have loved her from first sight, and she is a most welcome and blessed addition to our family. After months of searching online, I saw almostangelsaviary.com and after reading customer comments - I decided to get a baby African Senegal from Christine. It's been almost a month since I got my baby Senegal from her. He is so loving, charming, and clever that I don't have words enough to thank Christine. She has been so helpful at all times. I would recommend her to everyone. Not only because she will give you a healthy bird, but she will give you a true hand raised bird that will bring a smile to your face by exhibiting affection that you would have never dreamed of - except in movies like Rio. I haven't check in for a little bit but Sunny (the pretty green cheek) is settling right in. He is preening himself on my shoulder as I write this.
He is now puffing up and from what I can tell trying to talk back when we are talking to him.
He recently went to a family event that included grandma and charmed her the entire time. He is now her favorite of my pets!
There was a fancy green check at Petco that was for sale and the baby looked so unhappy with it's feathers not smoothing out. Sunny never went through that phase, always healthy, happy and hungry. Our new family joke is, it is no longer considered a compliment when someone tells you that you eat like a bird because Sunny eats alot! Jessica D., Texas
